Acid lime flowers thrice in a year, that is in the month of Jan- Feb,June-July and Sep- Oct.Fruits of first crop in a year is ready for harvest from the month of June-July and the second crop is harvested in December-January.

The plant are semi-vigorous, low spreading and prolific bearer, starts bearing after three years of planting.








Kagzi lime, Chakradhar and Vikramlime, Acid Lime such as Kagzi lime is used for juice, desert, pickle and other medicinal purpose.

संतरा Nagpuri santra is the great orange known as Nagpur orange

Kinnow or KINOO citrus-KINNOW- Mandarin is a hybrid mandarin (Citrus nobilis Loureiro x C. deliciosa Tenore) widely grown in North India

Kinnow is a cross between the 'King' & 'Willow-leaf' species of citrus fruits

kinnow mandarin can be planted during Feb-March and Sep-Oct as well.

However, September-October is preferable season for their planting. KINOO- Citrus-KINNOW- Mandarin during Feb-March 2015 was available for Rs.25-30/kg in retail markets of DELHI.


Daisy Tangerine is identical to Kinnow but a different citrus fruit. It is a cross between two different mandarin sp. Orange were @ Rs.60 during Oct-Nov.14

Malta and Mosambi are placed in sweet orange group of citrus. Malta is different from kinnow. It is sweet orange or Citrus sinensis cv. malta. Malta is a major Citrus species of Gharwal region in Uttarakhand State





Mosambi were available for Rs.50/- per kg.

Citrus sinensis cv. mosambi is also a Sweet orange. Mosambi (sweet lime) juice is a favorite citrus drink in India. Mosambi or sweet lime(different from Citrus limetta) 

Grapefruit or Citrus paradisi or Pahari nimbu or  चकोतरा chakotra is a grape-shaped citrus fruit which is thin-skinned grapefruit which is different from large thick-skinned, fleshy, yellow-green pomelo

.A ripe grapefruit is usually pale green to yellow in color.

Marsh Seedless is the most popular variety of grapefruit. With yellow-white flesh and yellow skin

Pink flesh grapefruit varieties such as Red Blush are high in demand.





Foster is the first pink pigmented grapefruit variety and it was discovered in Florida in 1907 citrus

Pomelo or Citrus grandis or Pummelo Chakotra पुमेलो चकोतरा or Chinese grapefruit or Batawi nimbu or Gagar Nimbu or Toranji are very large citrus and are thick-skinned, sweet flesh.
